Getting started
What is SYRKL?

SYRKL is a private sharing app built for families and close circles. You post photos, short videos, and a daily emoji pulse. Only people you've invited to your circle can see your posts. Nobody can leave text comments — only emoji reactions.

Is SYRKL free?

Yes. SYRKL is free to download and use. There are no ads. We don't sell your data. Paid features may come later but the core experience will remain free.

Why do I need an invite code?

SYRKL is intentionally small. The invite code keeps the community tight while we roll out. Ask someone who already uses SYRKL for their code, or email hello@syrkl.app if you'd like one.

What's the minimum age?

You must be 13 or older to create a SYRKL account. We verify date of birth at signup. Users under 13 are not permitted.

Is SYRKL on Android?

Not yet. SYRKL is iPhone-only at launch. Android is on the roadmap but not scheduled.

Using SYRKL
How do Trust Circles work?

A Trust Circle is a private group you create and invite people to. When you post, you choose which circle sees it — or you can post to everyone in your orbit. People outside the circle cannot see the post, react to it, or find it through search.

What is the Daily Pulse?

Each day you pick one emoji that represents how you're doing — calm, fired up, low, grateful, lonely, etc. Your pulse lights up your avatar in your circle's orbit so the people who matter can see how you're actually doing without having to ask. Pulses reset every 24 hours.

What are Vibe Rooms?

Vibe Rooms are emotion-themed spaces you can enter based on your pulse. Each room has a short daily prompt written by a clinician — a simple reflection or grounding exercise. Reactions are emoji-only. Vibe Rooms are optional and are not therapy or clinical advice.

Why can't I comment with text?

Text comments are where most of the harm on other platforms comes from — cruelty, grooming, harassment. SYRKL removes that surface entirely. You express yourself with emojis and your own posts.

How do I invite someone to my circle?

Open your profile, tap Settings, then Invite Friends. You can share by text, email, or any other app. Anyone who installs SYRKL and enters the invite code can be added to your circle.

Safety & privacy
How do I block or report someone?

Tap the three dots on any post to Report it or Block the user. Blocked users cannot see you, message you, or react to your posts. You can manage your blocked list under Settings → Blocked Users.

What happens to my posts over time?

Posts are kept for up to 90 days and then automatically removed to keep storage minimal. You'll be able to mark posts as Saved to keep them past 90 days — that feature is rolling out shortly.

What data does SYRKL collect?

Only what's needed to run the app: your email, username, avatar, posts, reactions, and circle membership. We don't sell data. We don't run ads. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete Account. You'll be asked to re-enter your password, then your account, posts, and reactions are permanently removed. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

On the login screen tap Forgot password? and enter your email. You'll get a reset link. If you don't receive it within a few minutes, check spam or email hello@syrkl.app.

I'm in crisis. Can SYRKL help?

SYRKL is not a crisis service or a replacement for professional mental health care. If you or someone you care about is in crisis, call or text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line). In a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
