The private family check-in app. Every night, your family gathers for a 2-minute Family Moment — share a photo or simply say you're here. Plus daily pulse emojis so your circle always knows how everyone is doing. No captions, no comments, no strangers.
Why Families Switch
Only people you invite can see your posts or contact you. No public profiles, no discovery by unknown users.
All reactions are emoji only. No harsh words, no pile-ons, no comment sections to worry about.
You see posts from your circles in order. No one decides what matters to your family except you.
No public follower counts, no likes race, no viral mechanics. Share for the people who matter, not for an audience.
How It Works
Create your account in under a minute. Free, no credit card.
Invite parents, kids, siblings, grandparents — anyone you want present. Private by default.
Pick a daily time that works — dinnertime, before bed, whenever your family wants to gather.
At that time every night, everyone gets a push. Snap a photo of where you are or just tap to say you're here. 2 minutes. Done.
Features
SYRKL was designed by parents who wanted a place to share moments without exposing their kids to the worst parts of social media.
A two-minute synchronized ritual every day. Your family gets a push at the time you choose. Snap a photo of where you are, or just tap to say you're here. Same instant, no matter where everyone is.
Every Family Moment your family showed up to, preserved forever. Scroll back through every night. Over time, the archive becomes your family's emotional memoir.
Private groups for family, friends, church, school, or any group you choose. Only members see what's shared inside.
Check in with a mood emoji each day. Your circle sees how you're doing at a glance, without anyone having to ask.
React to posts, send messages, add captions — all with emoji. Words are where online conflict starts. SYRKL removes that vector.
Feeling grateful? Drained? Focused? Browse rooms by emotion. See that other people feel the same way.
Share photos and short videos with your circle. Private by default. No public discovery, no strangers commenting.
Our Story
We have four kids. We watched them navigate Roblox, YouTube, and group chats full of strangers and harsh language. We looked for a private family sharing app. It didn't exist. So we built it.
Co-Founder
Niki brings over 15 years of nursing experience to every design decision in SYRKL. As a mother of four and a nurse, she saw what social media was doing to families — and helped design SYRKL to give those families a safer, calmer way to stay close.
Founder & Builder
Dawayne had no coding experience when he started building SYRKL. He taught himself app development because no existing platform was safe enough for his kids. Every feature in the app traces back to a problem he saw as a father.
Press
The Flemmings built SYRKL after seeing the effects of unfiltered social media on their own children and on Niki's patients. The app replaces text with emoji and keeps all sharing inside private, invite-only circles.

Most social apps add safety features after the damage happens. SYRKL was designed from the ground up so the most common forms of online harm — stranger contact, verbal abuse, public exposure — are removed at the structural level.
No public DMs, no friend requests from unknown users. Only approved contacts can communicate.
All communication is emoji-only. The primary tool for cyberbullying — text — does not exist in the app.
Trust Circles keep content visible only to people you choose. No public feed, no content surfaced to strangers.
Built into every interaction. One tap to report content, one tap to block a user.
Date of birth required at signup. Users must be 13 or older to create an account. COPPA compliant.
No algorithmic feed, no autoplay, no infinite scroll mechanics. SYRKL doesn't compete for your attention.
SYRKL requires users to be 13 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Share moments with the people who matter. No strangers, no drama, no algorithm.
